Steve Vilas has more than 25 years of experience with insurance brokerage/consulting firms, specifically in managing agency finances and operations, launching new initiatives, recruiting and expanding market share. Steve is responsible for expanding Burnham’s footprint into other markets by implementing new initiatives, including expanding into property and casualty and risk management, developing a pharmacy consulting practice, and other special programs.

Steve is a seasoned professional with property and casualty and benefits industry experience since 1990 and accounting and finance experience from 1980. Steve develops new tools and resources to better serve clients, while managing finances and operations for the company as a whole, in addition to managing the office in the Sacramento region. He has managed both P&C and benefits operations and carrier relationships and has worked with worker’s compensation and benefits captives. Burnham Benefits’ goal to expand its one-of-kind client experiences into new markets allows Vilas to continue his path as a proven leader, strategic advisor and a respected member of the Burnham team.

Steve enjoys running, biking, and other outdoor sports, wine tasting, and spending time with family and friends.
